Review: The Den by IFC Films
The Lowdown:
Our leading lady Elizabeth decides to write her college thesis on Chat Roulette-esque website "The Den" & spends all her time talking to people from all over the world. What happens when a cyber serial killer decides Elizabeth is next?
My Thoughts:
I really, really dug this flick. This is a movie that's told entirely through Elizabeth's webcam or various cellphones. This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I found it rather engaging. This is a fast paced movie clocking in at a brief 76 minutes, but that is all you need. The acting is nothing special and there's not a lot of character development, but what it does, it does great. The Den gets under your skin. The movie is tense and unnerving. You can't help but look at your computer and think "Is there someone looking back at me?". I loved it. IFC knocks it out of the park with this creepy little found footage film.
Disc Specs:
- Commentaries with the writer/director and producers
- Behind the scenes
-Trailer
